Arab. Brummy. Muslim. Hasan Al-Habib was born to Iraqis that moved to Birmingham after deciding Baghdad wasn’t dangerous enough.

In 2019, whilst studying for a PhD in Oncology at Cambridge, he took a show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. “Footdarks” (the ethnic Footlights whose names you can’t pronounce) was critically acclaimed, being described as “Deliciously funny” by the Guardian.
