Yumna Mohamed is a self-loathing, cat-loving standup comedian from Johannesburg, South Africa. She has been performing since her very first gig in Johannesburg’s famous underground club, Cool Runnings in December 2013. Since then, she has performed in Edinburgh, London and New York including the Amateur Night at Harlem’s Apollo Theatre where she placed second.
Yumna was a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny 2015 and BBC New Comedian 2016. Her favourite comedians are Norm Macdonald, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock and Alan Davies. Her favourite fruits are mangoes and pomegranates.
