Q: What happens if there is a train strike?
A: If you give us at least 7 days notice we will happily exchange your ticket for another night. Train strikes are always announced in advance so there’s plenty of time to let us know. We can only exchange them once, any further date changes will incur a cost of £5 per ticket (sorry, it takes up a lot of our time!) Just pop us an email to office@thestandupclub.co.uk and we can arrange this for you. We can’t offer refunds as the club is open for business.
Q: Do I need to print my ticket?
A: No need to print tickets. You can bring your ticket on your phone/device, and also the name of the person who bought the tickets will be on our list for entry.
Q: Will seats be reserved for us and can we all sit together?
A: If you are in a group of four or more then we will reserve specific seats for you all together. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the show to be guaranteed these seats remain reserved for you (ideally 30 mins), otherwise you may have to find seats yourselves and possibly separately. We do not offer refunds if you are late and cannot sit together. For smaller groups, you can choose anywhere to sit other than seats reserved for larger groups.
Q: What time shall we arrive?
A: We recommend you are in the comedy room at least 30 minutes before showtime. There are bars you can have food and drink at before we open the doors to the comedy room. If any customers have not arrived by 30 minutes after showtime then we reserve the right to re-sell their seats to without refund. Please email office@thestandupclub.co.uk if you know you are going to be late, and let us know your ETA.
Q: Can we get a refund if we cannot make the show?
A: We don’t offer refunds but we can, in some circumstances, transfer your tickets to another date. We cannot refund booking fees unless the actual show is cancelled. We are getting an increasing number of people trying to change tickets, which creates a lot of extra work, so we are only able to exchange then if you give us more than 7 days notice or at our discretion if it is a genuine emergency.
Q: Are under 18’s allowed?
A: Piccadilly and Tooting are 18+. If you arrive and have under 18’s in your group, or not sufficient ID, we cannot offer a refund. London Bridge is play for 16+ only as long as accompanied by an adult.
Q: Can we eat our meal in the comedy room during the show?
A: All meals are pre-show so to not disrupt the comedy, and in a different room (same venue). You will have a table reserved for you if you book meals through this website. Please arrive with ample time to eat so you do not miss the start of the show or potentially lose your reserved group seating.
Q: I am a comedian and I want to do a spot at The Stand-Up Club. How do I do this?
A: Please email comedians@thestandupclub.co.uk with a video link (please do not attach video) to you doing a recent set. Our nights are almost all top level professional comedy nights so you’ll need to be doing very well at other clubs to be considered for an open spot, so please be realistic.
