29th September 2018 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm The Comedy Pub, 7 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE
Alistair Williams is our brilliant headliner tonight, fresh from his recent 3rd place in the UK’s £10,001 Comedian Of The Year Competition (over 850 full-time professional comedians entered). Alistair is a regular and top class headline act at The Stand-Up Club, with cutting-edge writing and great stage presence. He really is one of the funniest and wry voices on the circuit now, you’ll love him.
Opening up the night is the lovely Charmian Hughes, another recent finalist in the £10,001 Comedian Of The Year Competition. One of the most charming (hence her name) acts around.
Your host for the evening is the very cool Lateef Lovejoy. Lateef is normally a headline act so we’re officially happy to have him here to host the night for us.
Our middle act is the amazing Cally Beaton. Cally won our new act competition last year and has since appeared on two episodes of QI – we can spot talent a mile off (not very humble brag!)
Each week we showcase a newer act for you, someone you can tell your mates “I saw them at The Stand-Up Club before they were famous, I am so cool aren’t I.” Or something like that. Tonight we have Ant Dewson.
The Comedy Pub is smack bang in the heart of London’s West End, 1-2 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus tube. With 4 floors, it boasts a brand new cocktail bar and three other bars to quench your thirst. The comedy room holds 110 people, enough for a sizzling atmosphere but not too many that you can’t get close (not too close!) to the comedians. You will be very ‘in the room’ as they say in comedy. We allocate seats for everyone, so you just have to turn up and enjoy the night.
Saturdays are £12.50 per person which we think is a bloody bargain! You can also purchase a pre-show meal which guarantees you a reserved table if you so wish, and there are other food/drink options available too. Hell yes.
