12th October 2018 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm The Comedy Pub, 7 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE
Prince Abdi is our brilliant headline act tonight. Born in Somalia, he moved to the UK as a kid and has a unique and warm perspective on life that makes him fascinating as well as very funny. Tour support for Reginald D Hunter, Dave Chapelle and Stephen K Amos, he is very highly thought-of in the industry and by fans alike. We’re delighted to have him close our evening tonight.
Our opening act is the brightest joke-smith on the circuit, Mark Simmons. Mark has recently supported both Seann Walsh and Rob Brydon on tour, and is one of our favourite regular headliners so you’re getting two headline acts for the price of one tonight. God, I sound just like Del Boy.
Our MC tonight, Andy Stedman, is one of the most likeable acts on the circuit but also one of the biggest p*ss-takers, so don’t mess (no that’s not a challenge!)
Jake Howie is one of the sparkiest and spangliest newer acts on the pro circuit, and alongside him in the middle section we have Mad Ron, fresh out of prison. So you’d better find him funny, whether you like it or not…
The Comedy Pub is smack bang in the heart of London’s West End, 1-2 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus tube. With 4 floors, it boasts a brand new cocktail bar and three other bars to quench your thirst. The comedy room holds 110 people, enough for a sizzling atmosphere but not too many that you can’t get close (not too close!) to the comedians. You will be very ‘in the room’ as they say in comedy. We allocate seats for everyone, so you just have to turn up and enjoy the night.
You don’t need to print out your ticket, just bring the email along on your phone. We have a list of ticket-holders as well should all else fail .You can also purchase a pre-show meal which guarantees you a reserved table if you so wish, and there are other food/drink options available too. Fill yer boots.
