28th September 2018 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm The Comedy Pub, 7 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE
Tonight ladies and gents we have Mister Ronnie Golden, purveyor supreme of gags and songs. A great act in his own right, some of you may also have seen his Edinburgh show with Barry Cryer no less. A gem of an act and a real treat here for you tonight.
Opening up the night is the lovely Charmian Hughes, recent finalist in the £10,001 Comedian Of The Year Competition in which over 800 pro acts entered. One of the most charming (hence her name) acts around.
Your host for the evening is one of our regular MC’s, Andy Stedman, bringing a mix of ultra-quick banter, cheeky songs and some very good jokes thrown in as well. Andy was recently doing theatre tour support for the legendary Bobby Davro and is one of the most popular MC’s called Andy in London tonight.
Esther Manito is a name on many of the comedy industry movers and shakers’ lips, and tipped for big things over the next year or two. Come and see why… (ooh, the mystery!)
Each week we showcase a newer act for you, someone you can tell your mates “I saw them at The Stand-Up Club before they were famous, I am so cool aren’t I.” Or something like that. Tonight we have Ant Dewson.
THE VENUE
The Comedy Pub is smack bang in the heart of London’s West End, 1-2 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus tube. With 4 floors, it boasts a brand new cocktail bar and three other bars to quench your thirst. The comedy room holds 110 people, enough for a sizzling atmosphere but not too many that you can’t get close (not too close!) to the comedians. You will be very ‘in the room’ as they say in comedy. We allocate seats for everyone, so you just have to turn up and enjoy the night.
THE PRICE
Fridays are £10 per person which we think is a bloody bargain! You can also purchase a pre-show meal which guarantees you a reserved table if you so wish, and there are other food/drink options available too. Hell yes.
