17th November 2018 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm The Comedy Pub, 7 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE
Tonight our headliner is the brilliant one-liner comedian Mark Simmons. Mark has recently supported Seann Walsh and Rob Brydon on tour, and is one of our favourite headliners – he always smashes it. Mark is regularly in Dave’s Best Jokes Of Edinburgh Fringe list. Basically if you like jokes, he is the man. If not, what the hell are you doing on a comedy site!
Our opening act is a very special treat, as he drops in to give us 20 minutes of his comedy gold before dashing off somewhere no doubt very important. Andy Askins is one of the country’s top acts (booked to appear on this year’s John Bishop’s Christmas Special) and this will be his debut appearance at The Stand-Up Club.
Guitar-wielding resident MC Andy Stedman is your host tonight. Andy was theatre-tour support for Bobby Davro earlier this year, and will as always get a few of you chatting and nicely warmed up with a mix of banter, jokes and maybe even a song.
We’re delighted to have Cally Beaton on the show. Cally has appeared twice on QI this year, showing she isn’t only extremely funny but has plenty of brainpower too. Cally is the current winner of the Piccadilly Comedian Of The Year.
Our guest act tonight, making his debut at The Stand-Up Club, is Ryan Dalton. Possibly the tallest comedian in London, or the world!
The Comedy Pub is smack bang in the heart of London’s West End, 1-2 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus tube. With 4 floors, it boasts a brand new cocktail bar and three other bars to quench your thirst. The comedy room holds 100 people, enough for a sizzling atmosphere but not too many that you can’t get close (not too close!) to the comedians. We allocate seats for everyone, so you just have to turn up and enjoy the night.
You don’t need to print out your ticket, just bring the email along on your phone. We have a list of ticket-holders as well should all else fail. You can purchase a pre-show meal which guarantees you a reserved table if you so wish, and there are other food/drink options also available.
FREE ENTRY TO AFTER-SHOW COCKTAIL BAR
Sip cocktails in the swanky new cocktail bar in the basement after the show, which has a DJ and is open until 2am. Why bother going to queue up elsewhere…
