22nd September 2018 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm The Comedy Pub, 7 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE
Our headliner tonight is the brilliant Andrew Lawrence. With appearances on TV shows such as Live At The Apollo and Michael McIntrye’s Roadshow showing his true pedigree, we are delighted to welcome him to The Stand-Up Club tonight. Check out Andrew’s controversial “VERY SERIOUS QUESTIONS” Q&A).
Our opening act is Barbadian comic Jason Patterson who is one of the most charming and likeable acts on the circuit. Jason often MC’s for us, and tonight we have the pleasure of a twenty minute set from him. A massive crowd pleaser and great joke writer.
Your host for the evening is the very likeable and slightly mad Ben Clover. Aside from normal MC duties, Ben has been known to crowd-surf the comedy audience so never a dull moment. Expect anything.
We are pleased to welcome Sarah Callaghan back at The Stand-Up Club after a fab debut appearance a few months ago. One of the few working class female voices on the circuit, this Cockney lass will have you in stitches.
We will as always also be showcasing our new act of the evening, where you get to see upcoming comedians hopefully smash it in a short set. Tonight we have the winner of this week’s heat of our Get-Up, Stand-Up New Comedian Competition, Josh Massen. Josh beat 11 other acts and we are tipping him for comedy success. Let’s see if you you agree.
The Comedy Pub is smack bang in the heart of London’s West End, 1-2 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus tube. With 4 floors, it boasts a brand new cocktail bar and three other bars to quench your thirst. The comedy room holds 110 people, enough for a sizzling atmosphere but not too many that you can’t get close (not too close!) to the comedians. You will be very ‘in the room’ as they say in comedy. We allocate seats for everyone, so you just have to turn up and enjoy the night.
Saturdays are £12.50 per person which we think is a bloody bargain! You can also purchase a pre-show meal which guarantees you a reserved table if you so wish, and there are other food/drink options available too so check them out. Hell yes.
