Pete made his stand up comedy debut in a heat of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition in 2008 where he qualified for the quarter final (which was his second gig)! Since then Pete has progressed through open mic nights and gong shows to become a regular and popular performer on the UK standup comedy circuit.
Having beaten the gong at the notorious King Gong nights at both the Manchester and London Comedy Stores Pete has subsequently made a number of appearances at both venues and a successful performance at The Stand Red Raw night in Edinburgh led to an immediate offer of a paid weekend at their Newcastle club. Pete has also made regular appearances at other weekend comedy clubs such as Jongleurs and The Glee Club as well as regular paid opening and middle spots for numerous independent promoters including Funhouse Comedy, Buzz Comedy, Hilarious and Custard Comedy.
In February 2016 Pete performed his debut solo show ‘Never Too Late’ to a sell out audience at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
February 2017 saw Pete crowned as Silver Stand Up winner at the Leicester Comedy Festival at his first attempt.
